"We shall individually be held responsible for doing one jot less than we have ability to do...But when we give ourselves wholly to God, and in our work follow His directions, He makes Himself responsible for its accomplishment. He would not have us conjecture as to the success of our honest endeavors. Not once should we even think of failure. We are to cooperate with One who knows no failure." ~Messages to Young People, p. 309

County Fair!

Guess what we did this past weekend? We went to our local county fair! We've gone for several years in a row now, but some things just never get old.

There's lots of vendors and businesses promoting their wares, but my favorite area is the old cars. Maybe it's genetic (hehehe!), but I will never get tired of looking at and photographing those old beauties!

I also thoroughly enjoyed the ginormous HO scale train layout that was set up, as well as all the crafts, foods, and photos in the enclosed pavilion. Alison and Mom entered quite a few entries, garnering several blue and red ribbons. Alison was quite excited about her winnings, and had a ball at the fair as well. She really enjoyed creating a finger painting, as well as taking her first pony ride. Below's some photos I took at the fair. Enjoy!

(above and below): I also liked the old tractors!

Next few shots are just a slice of the wonderfully huge train layout that was featured at the fair. It was SO COOL!! Oh, and do you see what it says on the barn roof in the above picture? ;)

^^The ducklings were just too cute!

(above and below): Alison takes her first pony ride. After the ride finished, she confessed to us that the pony "was too bumpy!"

^^The inside of the pavilion where was housed the flowers, photos, crafts, foods, and more!
^^Can you believe it, I even got a third place? Yay!! :)
