"We shall individually be held responsible for doing one jot less than we have ability to do...But when we give ourselves wholly to God, and in our work follow His directions, He makes Himself responsible for its accomplishment. He would not have us conjecture as to the success of our honest endeavors. Not once should we even think of failure. We are to cooperate with One who knows no failure." ~Messages to Young People, p. 309

Blogging Through The Gospels: John 10

Welcome to John 10, everyone! This chapter covers Jesus' discussion on sheep (and the Good Shepherd), as well as the unbelief of the Jews.

Scripture:

"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved." ~John 10:9

Observation:

Jesus is saying that He's the only way to be eternally saved--and that's true! Jesus is the gate to God. After sinning, we were forever separated from God, until Jesus--who's God & human all at the same time--came down to earth and died on the cross for our sins. Now we can come to Jesus, and be saved through him--our advocate in Heaven!

Application:

There's just one way to get to Heaven. Have you walked through and believed on the Gate?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for your wonderful Bible that you have given me. Please help me to believe you more. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
