"We shall individually be held responsible for doing one jot less than we have ability to do...But when we give ourselves wholly to God, and in our work follow His directions, He makes Himself responsible for its accomplishment. He would not have us conjecture as to the success of our honest endeavors. Not once should we even think of failure. We are to cooperate with One who knows no failure." ~Messages to Young People, p. 309

A Truly Out-Of-This-World Spaceflight

Even if you read my blog just a little bit, you know that I love the Space Shuttle! Just the ability to successfully launch humans into space time and time again in amazing. Add to that constructing the International Space Station, servicing the Hubble Space Telescope, and many, many other marvelous achievements just make to me the entire Space Shuttle program a marvel that it ever occurred.

You know, I've been thinking about the space program lately. More specifically, how we can parallel the space program and going to Heaven. Follow me for a little bit, won't you?

Our competent Commander is God the Father, and our Pilot is the Lord Jesus Christ. The angels are Mission Specialists, working as hard as they can to get as many of us humans on board this once-in-a-lifetime flight.

Just as in real spaceflight, it may seem like God is delaying this all-important flight. Sometimes, it may seem like problems just keep delaying it and delaying it. But we do know one thing: this one-week-long spaceflight will happen, and it will happen soon. Our Commander is waiting for everyone on Plant Earth to hear about this marvelous flight before it happens! See what our Pilot has told us in Matthew 24:35--

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

Whatever our Commander and Pilot says, will happen.

Our Commander hasn't told us exactly when the launch date is, but He has revealed the launch window. Our Commander has said that when certain things happen, we can know we'll be launching soon. Some of those things include wars, unrest, natural disasters, and persecution. Just about the only sign that hasn't been fulfilled is this one--

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." ~Matthew 24:14

As I said before, our Commander doesn't want anyone who wants to go on this flight to miss out. He's only delaying it because not everyone has heard about this yet!

Since none of us has ever witnessed this kind of launch, our Pilot has given us a preview of what it'll be like, found in Matthew 24:30-31--

"At that time...they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other."

My imagination takes off right here! Forget lowly earth orbit; we'll be outta that in no time! We'll laugh at how "far" the moon is...and travel through countless galaxies, stars, and constellations. I can't even start to think of what Heaven will be like; all I know is that it'll be better than anything I could dream up!

How do we secure a seat on this out-of-this-world spaceflight? How do we prepare and train for it? The answer: keep in touch with the Commander and Pilot. You can talk to Them, and They will talk to you. With Them, you don't need to use e-mail, texting, or even Facebook. You can talk to Them directly through prayer. They will give you answers through their Comprehensive Training Guide, also known as the Bible. In Their Guide, They tell you everything you need to know--how to train, what to do, and how to live while you're training.

There's just one catch: you have to let the Commander and Pilot be in control. It's kinda a no-brainer, but still,  this can be very challenging at times. You may think you know how to train for a spaceflight, but you really don't. You must completely surrender your ideas, your plans, and yourself to the Commander and Pilot. This may be scary, but remember that They are very loving and kind, and only ever have your best interests in mind. While it may be hard, you must trust Them.

Totally submit to the best Commander and Pilot ever, and do what They say. Keep in touch with Them, and have a good relationship with Them. That way, your seat on this truly out-of-this-world spaceflight will be reserved! I'm going on this spaceflight to Heaven--how about you?
