"We shall individually be held responsible for doing one jot less than we have ability to do...But when we give ourselves wholly to God, and in our work follow His directions, He makes Himself responsible for its accomplishment. He would not have us conjecture as to the success of our honest endeavors. Not once should we even think of failure. We are to cooperate with One who knows no failure." ~Messages to Young People, p. 309

Three New Spacemen Rocket into the Cosmos

L-R: Fossum, Volkov, and Furukawa
Yesterday, NASA's Mike Fossum, Russia's Sergei Volkov, and Japan's Satoshi Furukawa were strapped atop their Soyuz spacecraft at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakstan. Soon after they launched, in hot pursuit of the International Space Station. Fossum, Volkov, and Furukawa will round out the Station's Expedition 28, and they will be on board for Expedition 29 (starting in September) as well.

At 5:22pm EDT Thursday (tomorrow!), Fossum, Volkov, and Furukawa will dock with the International Space Station, and join Andrey Borisenko, Ron Garan, and Alexander Samokutyaev in habitation of the orbiting outpost. If you would like to see what yesterday's launch looked like, look below this article and you'll see it!
